The upshifting in this car is so smooth because of the rev matching by the ecu. I noticed it from day one. My buddy drove the FiST for the first time and was slamming it into gears and it was rough..made me cringe. I've had quite a few passengers comment on how it doesn't even feel like a manual car to them after 2nd gear...

I am surprised by the people who haven't noticed...

My car doesn't do this. Is this because I'm running a custom tune?

Yes most custom tunes disable the emissions related rev-hang and also the upshift RPM matching as well.
