Never had the experience of a bomb (hopefully not dirty) going off in my glasses-wearing face.

Any of you prescription glasses wearers had a bomb go off in your face?

How was the experience?
* Did it shove your spectacles up into your peepers?
* Wire or plastic frames?
* Prescription or just generic sun glasses?
(I suspect the above will weigh on the experience.)

Just curious. Thanks. 😎

Note: Bomb = airbags -and- dirty bomb = https://www.bing.com/search?q=dirty+bomb+definition -and- shrapnel bomb = takata airbag

Looking for the above, watched the entire following report at x2 speed. (so 15m instead of 30m)
It says the US recall was only made compulsory in 2015 and the "fix" was to add a desiccant LoL. It also said the Aussie manufacturers (which probably means ours too) were doing a half-ass job at identifying + notifying the affected owners. (to be fair, as used cars change hands, it becomes difficult to specifically identify and reach said owners who aren't taking their cars to be serviced through dealerships - could work through BMV/DMV though that's not perfect either)

Guess we need to be more diligent about self-identifying which are affected. I also hadn't realized the compulsory recall came so late. My Mom's 'yota is 2005 and Dad's GMC is 2012. His likely ain't affected (though still good idea to check) but will be personally checking Mom's for sure. Being the original owner I had assumed she would've been notified if was affected but after watching that report we can't be sure.

Only way to check my Mom's car is to literally remove the bomb.
Since age is one of the primary contributors, the only way to be sure is to literally replace it.
Nice. πŸ™„

Govt site relies on the auto manufactures who relies on Takata.
Govt site removes VINs older than 15 years and the Mom's falls just outside that range.
