I'm probably overthinking this, but just curious on opinions.

Paying to have the oil changed so that they're documented on Carfax vs DIY?

The dealer gave me a hard time on the car I traded in for the FiST - sometimes paid to have it changed and sometimes did it myself. The spotty Carfax made it look like I was negligent in changing the oil.

Maybe being diligent with tracking records/repairs in a booklet I keep in the glove box?

Just curious as to what everyone else is doing. Time for my first oil change.

I keep all receipts for anything bought for the car and have a little portfolio for the car that I file them into as far as matainance, performance, etc. Also I take pics when doing anything and file them into a flash drive. Lastly I have a little book that I write down torque specs on, just in case they're ever needed again. It's probably worthless and overkill, but im a weirdo. Lol
