I'm thinking of blacking out my rims with plastic dip but I'm not sure if it gets damaged easy or not ..... And is there any rims you would recommend I take a look at that are black ?

I dipped my wheels before winter in upstate New York and they held up pretty good. Just make sure you spray on a "thick" layer it will be easier to remove later on

Just do it. Much cheaper than new rims and will last for about a year.

Yes, but do it right. Head on over to DipYourCar.com and spend the extra cash on a wheel package. Prepping your wheels is the real key. The next big thing which was already stated above is putting enough coats down. This will help with the look, durability, and when you remove the dip later on. It's also a really fun weekend project by the way!

Just did mine.....got the kit at DYC.....thorough cleaning then 5 coats of black followed by 3 coats of glossifier. Came out nice and the center caps peeled perfectly for a nice OEM look with thr Ford logo.
