I bought these wheels with snow tires on them for the bad weather.

When I started putting them on the other day I noticed that the OEM lug nuts don't have the same seating surface area that they do on the OEM wheels. Is this just because steel wheels don't need the same amount of area on the mating surface as softer aluminum wheels? Can I use my OEM lug nuts because they are both conical seat type? Or do I need a different set?

The wheel specs say a conical seat for the holes and our OEM lugs are conical so you'll be fine. With steel wheels like that they don't have a large seating surface but rather a raised lip of sorts around the hole for strength.

It turns out the seat is fine on the OEM lug nuts, but they aren't long enough to use with the steel wheels. Had to get a longer set.
