Fiesta ST Purge valve harness solutions

Purge valve is starting to go, with the engine stalling out everytime i get gasoline. Is there a way I can replace the whole harness so I don't spend $120 on the factory one. I have seen people make an entirely new line out of 3/8'' piping, is that a viable option? Or should I just replace the harness with a factory one and take the stab into my wallet.

I used a heat gun to reuse the old harness with the new valve but it developed a leak after some time. Replaced the harness with 3/8" silicon hoses a couple of months ago and no issues so far.
