I was really tired of the glare from the infotainment bezel reflecting onto the windshield, so I looked into flocking. While I wasn't up to the challenge of taking apart the whole dash, the bezel was actually pretty easy to do, and helped a bunch both in daily driving and while on autocross courses on sunny days. I did it this spring, but thought folks here might be interested. I got all the supplies from flockit.com. It was my first time doing it, so the results aren't perfect, but I'm pretty happy.

Nice work! I went with the cheap and easy option, and bought a dash cover. This looks awesome though.

I wish that someone made either a REAL alcantara, close fitting, dash cover, or at least one that could pass for a real WRC style 'flocked' full dash cover.

I really want to do the entire dash aside from the trim one day, it's a cool look. Does it feel fuzzy? What's the texture?

That is called SNOW. It's what happens to rainfall when it's cold enough to kill you.

It's very slightly fuzzy, like if you could paint something with thin velvet. I guess they flock jewelry box interiors with the stuff?
