Fixing that resonance might be hard, possibly taking out the resonator could help change the tone or it could do nothing but make it louder.

I've heard this can make all the difference. The contrasting tones tend to cause one's head to want to explode, from what I hear. Anyhow, it sounds good! seems like a nice deep rumble at idle, nice!
