kinda saw this coming . No Ford cars in the U.S. beyond Mustang. It was like nothing he would down for. They saw him as a promotional vehicle because otherwise they suck at marketing anything other than Trucks. Of course they did use to Market Focuses a lot. The Question is where does he go next hmmmm Toyota Suburu heres your chance. I would not be surprised at all if one of those companies decided to back him. Of course Mazda could pull a fast one too.

Even VW is viable. Its going to be a cash grab for him because of the good publicity he brings. But what the heck to HOON next? That is going to be quite weird not seeing a Hoonigan Ford.

IF he wants to/plans to stay in either ARA, or FIA rallying, he could also look to Hyundai, since they still sell cars here, albeit not their smallest one, which they run in the WRC (i20).
But some are bringing the R5 class i20 into this land, and yes, even VW has an R5 Polo, but they are not as numerous, even over in Europe, and so far, no one has brought one here.

Ken being a hard core, die hard Ford rally fan himself, I thought FOR SURE that he would have held onto the RS200, but maybe he is just sooo effing pissed at them due to their dumping him, that he wants nothing at all to do with anything Blue Oval?

He might be able to get even more than he is asking for the Evolution 2.1 Rallycross version of that Group B car, given their rarity. [wink]

Now I wonder if he is even holding onto the Mk2 Escort Group 4 car. [dunno]

You can be the most die hard fan of a car company that you race for. But if you aren't winning, and/or are old news, and the company has no interest in performance past redneck pastimes. It means nothing.

Maybe he's retiring? Maybe he has a new sponsor/ company to race for and therefore all ford related stuff has to go? Not sure

Guarantee he goes to Hyundai. Deep pockets in that shop and they’re rebranding. $20 anyone?

^^True, but Toy has even deeper yet pockets, and they might want to use him to push their FWD street version Corolla GR with a 'done up' with an AWD system, fully prepped Corolla GR, as publicity for the street version.

Toyota would be my preference. If the GR Corolla happens I’ll own one.

I could totally see it being Toyota as they are doing the GR thing and along with Nissan are totally famous for drifting with the original Corolla aka Levin and Trueno AE86 . As well as now with the GT86 aka BRZ which is another drift machine as well as being a well balanced track car.
Its more of a fit for him than Hyundai IMO.

I’d sell my sister to the Huns for that RS200. And I’d do really, really gross and unspeakable stuff for the Fiesta.

Exactly my feelings on what I assumed his feelings were on the RS200. Countless social posts and videos talking about how much he loved that car. I also thought the split was totally amicable. Who knows what really goes on behind the closed doors though.
