Front Turn Signal (Driver Side) Won't Release Bulb Holder

I'm trying to swap out bulbs for a LED with CANBUS and my driver side turn signal bulb bay will turn but then it's stuck. It's almost like it's holding onto one of the three threads in there and will not let go no matter what I do. I have a Sylvania bulb in there that I had hoped to be able to mess with Forscan enough to make Hyper blink not an issue but my reading skills were overly optimistic. Dunno if anyone else has had this problem? Hoping the answer is not to buy a whole new headlight assembly because I've only had the FiST for like three weeks and it's already constantly begging for money with annoying little fixes. It's almost as bad as the Audi it's replacing, haha.

If it helps the thread that is stuck is the one (looking forward from the inside of the car) at the 9 o'clock position. Both other threads are released and move a lot but this one does not move at all in the in and out direction, just the rotational/screw direction, and then sticks so that i cannot extract the assembly and bulb. Anyone got an idea? I cannot pry it out, and I've probably already compromised teh watertightness of it trying.

Can you disconnect from harness and just remove the headlight housing? If you’re comfortable doing that I would suggest getting it on a work bench and looking at it with clear eyes. It’s possible the housing is spinning? Might need pliers not fingers?

I've already removed the housing a couple times to try and start fresh on it. I went ahead and ordered a new one ($130 w/ an $80 core charge) because even with just fingers the water tightness of the blinker housing is compromised. I can go at it with pliers but I'm afraid that I'll just end up ripping of that plastic tab before that more substantial plastic spar gives way; I'll try it in tomorrow or the day after whjen the replacement gets here and report back since I want to return the shitty Sylvania bulb.
