Fuel Pump

Hs anyone had a fuel pump issue that was related to the 1/9/2015 recall , but was not replaced because of you manufacturing date? I recently started to have a no-start, stalling issue that resulted in a complete shut down of the engine while driving. After 30-45 minutes the car started up, but then shut down shortly thereafter. I had it towed to a Ford Dealer and they say they can not duplicate the issue that I had it brought in for. They also have not driven the car enough to have the issue return. Any ideas what is causing this problem?. I say it is a faulty fuel pump module related to the original recall. Original recall said the nickel plating on the fuel pump was defective and the Bosch pumps were to be replaced at Fords cost. This issue is most certainly going to result in a crash sooner or later. I have already notified the DOT NHTSB of this problem, which I hope will result in a recall. This is an accident waiting to happen and could cost someone or some people to lose their lives.

What Codes were set? If any......So if you think its the relay...Buy one and install it they aren't horribly expensive* Do you have a Cobb ap3? With that you can datalog the fuel related sensors and even watch them in real time to monitor their pressure outputs. Good luck! Keep us up to date!

Another thing that comes to mind is the Purge solenoid for the Evaporative Emissions system that can cause a no start/ stall condition.

Mines the evap, car attempts to stall after I fill up the fuel tank. But if I keep the rpms a bit higher with the pedal and drive it around a few miles or even parking it for a few hours, it starts up like nothing happened. Not really bothered to get it fixed since it’s not really causing any other issues.

I haven't really had a fill up problem; however, I did notice a recent fill up indicated improper fill mileage and MPG were both incorrect.. The car ran fine though.
The dealer was able to duplicate the stalling and engine shut off after about 20 miles of driving the car. I am still waiting to hear what they located as the problem. I'll post again when I receive that information.
You can get a replacement solenoid on e-bay for $22.78 Free Shipping Standard Motor Products Part# CP 806 It is easy to locate on the engine and replace.

The dealer just called me and said the problem lies with the electrical connector at the coil pack. They say it is losing contact at times and that is why the engine is stalling out while driving. I don't agree with that assessment because when it stalls out it will restart after about 30 minutes and run momentarily before it stalls again. If the connector is the problem, why does the engine restart. I personally believe it is the fuel pump relay breaking down. I told then to check it out. What is your take on my theory?

Have them replace the connector. Drive the vehicle and see if it repeats the underlying issue again. If it is a repeat offender...Replace fuel pump relay.

Go under the hood just for poops....Replace emission fuse #24 as it may have a hairpin fracture that allows for connection and doesn't completely fracture apart like most blown fuses.
