Fuel question

Hey everyone.
the other day while filling up there was no *click* at the pump and the gas eventually overflowed out of the tank on the floor. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or is it possibly just a faulty pump (the pump was moving really slow to begin with) have not re-fueled at all yet

That happened to my ‘05 focus wagon the first time my dad was showing me how to fill up. I asked him how it knew to stop and as he started to explain it, the pump overflowed the gas tank 😂
I’d say that it’s just a faulty pump

This is going to make me stay closer to my car while I'm filling it with gas in case I ever get a bad pump that just keeps pumping.
