Nokian is amazing for snow. I've got hakkapelita R3s and Blizzak WS90s and have used Xice before and the Hakkas are in a class of their own traction wise.
Can't say enough good things about them.
Anyone considering winter tires should give Nokian a try.

They are good tires. I do believe that each tire you mentioned performs better/worse depending on conditions. One might be better on ice while another is better with snow(loose) versus snow(packed) versus slush.

I remember back when there was an SCCA sanctioned, Maine Forest WINTER rally, and the land owners (7 Islands) FORBID the use of metal in the tires driven on their property (therefore negating the use of the full-on/'real' Michelin studded rally tires of the day), the Hakkas were the absolute 'go-to' tire for the competitors (and most of the workers/officials were on them as well).
