First post on the forums!
Unfortunately I have been recently dealing with a WOT issue. Under WOT the engine falls flat on its face. The first time I felt it happen I thought I hit something it was so abrupt. It has only pulled a P0087 code twice, but it will almost never pop a code after I clear it.
I replaced, the HPFP, LPFP, both their sensors, fuel tappet, ignition coils, spark plugs multiple times (NGK gapped .026-.024), checked hoses, replaced the induction tube and intake to higher flow options from whoosh. Still no dice.
Low side pressure/voltage seems consistent. FRP is showing some dipping on logs, but not always consistent with every hesitation I log. Every now and then I'll get the hesitation with no dip. I have no other symptoms with normal driving until I get on it (I can put my foot down up to 80-85% and have no issues).
I'm on a stage3 93 tune with an S280 Turbotechnics turbo. If I go back to stock tune the issue is still there, but I can usually get through most of the rev range and its a little harder to replicate.
I did get my timing belt done recently, but haven't had any other codes or issues to think the timing would be off. I am tuned by JST and have been talking with my tuner as well trying to find the issue. Shop is a bit of a drive to get to, but it might be my next option to have him look at it.
Has anybody else experienced this before?
