Hi there from Wisconsin! I've been browsing the forums for the last week or so and decided to join and post.

No Fiesta yet but test drove one a couple weeks ago and in the next few days I'm hopefully going to go talk to a dealer about getting one. Eyeing up a Magnetic Gray right now. I'm so excited [biggrin]

Also, are their mods/upgrades you can do before you bring it home and won't void warranty? I thought I read a thread on this somewhere in the forum but now I can't find it.

Looking forward to learning more about this car and meeting some of you on the forum [rockon]

Welcome aboard!

You can purchase the Mountune MP215 performance kit, which is Ford Racing endorsed and warranty friendly, through your Ford dealer; have it installed and financed with your purchase.
There is lots of info on the package on the forum; just search it. (check out CanadianGuy, he went this route.)

Hi Breezy
Ex Wisconsinite here. I miss living so close to "the lake". I understand your money concern. But modding is such a personal thing and really understanding the car is a big part of it. Getting to know the car as delivered from the factory is important to making intelligent modding decisions. Get your new car and drive it as-is for a while.

Welcome to the forum. Also an Ex-Wisconsinite (originally from just outside of Green Bay). You'll love driving the FiST on the open roads out there. Makes me miss WI since 80% of the time here in NYC/NJ area, I'm dealing with traffic, people on their cellphones, or people cutting me off. Enjoy the car once you buy it. Take your time doing research on here before you start modding. There are tons of different paths to take.

Welcome I hope you get the car you desire and that you drive it a while before plunking down cold hard cash on a mod as it is an addiction for some of us.. Build a car one way one year then go a different route the next. Bout the only thing i found I did not like about the stock turbo with E30 tune and stage 3 mods was after 5k rpm if just felt flat and of course the only place i really noticed this was on the big track at RA the little stock turbo ran out of breath. Now for parking lot stuff (autoX) and fun cruises and daily driving Stage 3 or Stage 1 for that matter would be more than enough to keep the smiles per gallon coming..
Enjoy shopping

Thanks so much for all your replies! I do love Wisconsin and the fun roads out here. When I get this car I'm going for a cruise for sure lol I'll put my "break in" miles easily in the first couple days haha! I drive a lot!

I was curious about the warranty-friendly package but good chance I won't get it right when I buy the car. I want to get the feel for it stock. I like to be able to feel the car change with mods :) I also research anything a lot before I do act on it. Much like this car. I've looked up so many different cars makes/models and even when I stop and think "Maybe I should get this instead" I remember why I said no to it the first 2 times and come back to the FiST haha.

I'm always fighting the battle with if I care enough about voiding the warranty (that and being a poor college student LOL). Have done that with my current car so much! I finally did one mod after almost 3 years owning it and two weeks later I had an engine valve cap cracked (for the second time in less than a year) which caused a rough idle, almost stalled it even! So I had to take off the intake and take it to the dealer, and never put it on again. Thank goodness because only a couple weeks after that I had the turbo oil tube break and I was leaking a solid line of oil as I limped my car a couple miles to the dealership. When it happened I didn't know it was the tube and all I knew is there was a LOT of oil coming from higher up on the engine block and I thought my engine was toast! So I'm paranoid lol.

Plainrt, I'm pretty sure I've seen you around!! I just saw one a couple days ago, orange, but I don't remember where lol

jdubs, I'm in the Wisconsin ST Club, just being a lurker atm! lol

I long for a track car. Not sure yet if I'll track the FiST or save up for something else. 1g miata or rx8 are two that I have considered! Not looking to do anything big like RA.. yet lol. Fun little track-days just to get the adrenaline pumping and take some sharp corners would be amazing :)

When you say RA, you mean Road America? If not, well, that's what I thought LOL! I love that track.

Prob was me lol. Only other I know of is guy from mueller Motorwerks. Mines lowered on 15s. Just got it out of winter mode like a week ago. What dealer you plan to buy from ? I got mine in saukville but wouldn't recommend them. I wish I bought mine here in town as dealer is much better to deal with all around. Hurry up and get one and come do some autocross.

Ah yes, I know him lol

The one I'm looking at is right outside of Milwaukee but I'm going to see if the dealer up here can get it. Otherwise I'll just go down there. I'll drive to get a car I want lol The one up here at Dick Brantmeier is black and I don't want black lol The other ones at Kennedy Ford is either black or without recaro seat package. I'm being picky because I can LOL Which dealer would you recommend?

I really like dealing with brantmeier. But all comes down to numbers lol. I got mine for Just under 20k new but only option was the paint. Lol I haven't been back to that dealer after though because of the way they do things.

Oh yea I was looking at one down in Janesville and it's white. That paint was an extra $600. I was like.... I love the color but not THAT much haha! So that's why I'm looking at the Magnetic gray. I'm split about 50/50 on those two colors. I also don't care about a moon roof or navigation. Well, not for an additional $800 each lol

If/when I get mine we'll have to meet up :D Have a little FiST meet of two lol!

Yes RA is Road America Track. Also there is Black Hawk Farms a cute lil track just over the border by Beloit and Rockford. It is a 7 corner track that is fun to try to get around..
