While the Fiesta ST is an amazing car to drive and the fun factor is pretty amazing, driving the brz was an amazing experience as well. Both cars driven were stock and both were very similar in its "fun factor" I just wanted to know why other drivers chose the ST over the brz or frs.

I owned a brz for 2 1/2 years. It was a really fun car, but I don't really miss it...aside from looking much better than the fist. Put a turbo on the brz though and I'd probably buy another one.

What everybody else is saying here. Plus with the snow I wouldn't feel comfortable in a RWD; never owned one before. And the ST is a monster in the snow.

I've had Miatas in the past, and while I loved them, living with them day to day I got bored of them because the power level was low. Amazing when the road is twisty though.

I really wanted a BRZ, but I saw myself getting bored with it. I ended up buying a used C6.

I don't get bored in the FiST, There's always that torque kick, the feeling of sitting in the Recaros, and of course the handling.

It's a small Ford car and I like small Fords, my previous car was a Ford Escort ZX2. Seems the main reason people seem to prefer the BRZ/FRS is because it's rear wheel drive and that doesn't make that big of difference to me. BRZ starts at around $25k, and the Fiesta ST tops out around $26K and change for all main options. Mine priced out at $25,180 with Recaros, navigation, and orange paint upcharge. Can't get Recaros in the BRZ. I like the hatchback over the coupe, it's overall more practical for a daily and I like the smaller front doors, even though most of you guys would like to see the 3 door ST. I've heard it felt slower because it's N/A.

I always wanted to get a RWD car, if just to have one to hoon just once in my life XD. Sadly, my dog won't comfortably fit in the back of the 86's so Fiesta ST it is. Oh and the 0% financing, Costco cash back, and year end cash back incentives sure helped grease the wheels a bit.

I thought about the BRZ / FRS. But I'm in Alberta and we get lots of snow. I feel more confident driving my FiST than a RWD coupe. Also trips to ikea are much more reasonable.

The first and motivating reason is that I already have a (turbo!)Miata, and so I couldn't justify another RWD two seater. After that, I wanted good fuel economy, reasonable price, space/utility, and fun to drive. I considered the Mazda2 and the Honda Fit, but always had the Fiesta ST in my mind as my favorite. My goal was to pay somewhere between 8,000-16,000 (used Mazda, new Fit) but after driving the Fiesta I just couldn't help but rationalize away the price difference.
