I'm looking for the bits that clip the HVAC/shifter trim into the console. They are the white friction wedges that clip onto the studs of the panel and fit firmly into the wholes of the center console.
Look exactly like these but plastic

Is there a different name for them?

Most of those clips are no longer sold separately by Ford.
They com preinstalled on the trim part they secure.

I too have had trouble finding these and others.
You could go to your dealer.
Their parts guys are pretty good about knowing what hardware is available.

You could also try automotive specialty companies like Dorman.
You could also ask at body shops as they deal with these things all the time.

Try this link then go to the individual site.

I found them on eBay for around $5 each, sorry I don't recall the part number.

What I did was purchase a used interior panel from a fiST on eBay for about $12 shipped, it had 4 or 5 clips on it. The panel was rough so I junked it after I swiped the clips.

I think I found the part number: W714972S300
