So, I've tried a 32gb stick (works great) and a 128gb stick (MFT complains about it)...

What's the largest USB stick that you've used with MFT?

32GB is what I use but I think you can get away with a 64GB.

MFT only reads FAT32 format. Try formatting the 128GB to FAT32 and see if that works.

Yeah, stupid me the 128gb was formatted NTFS by default. Formatted it exFAT (as FAT32 can't do 128gb partitions) and I'll see how it works.

Got my 128gb stick working. I like seeing this track count:

That's with only 71gb of 112gb used. :)

haha if you average 4 minutes per song it will take you almost 700 hours to listen to that many songs.

Tried a 128 Gb drive formatted in exfat, system could only see some of the songs. Manual says drives need to be in Fat 32, so for now I have 2-32 Gig sticks and I toggle back and forth from since we do have 2 USB sockets. Curious why your 128 gb stick works. I have tried 2 different brands of 128 gb sticks with no luck, both are exfat.
