This is normal give it a few days. Its the same when you were to unplug the battery. Just needs to relearn.

I never use or trust those things anyway.

I just buy gas somewhere between 1/2 and 1/4 tank.
Then using the old school method calculate the mileage by actual gas used.
This way even if the fuel gauge failed, I would still have some idea of when to buy gas.

Yeah, will probably take a couple fill-ups, before it looks normal, again.

My ex works at a ford dealer. One day she took one to lunch. It ran out of gas at the dealership on her way out , with "7 miles to empty". I think about that everytime i get low on dino blood.

I think it calculates based on what your average fuel consumption is. When I first got the car, it said over 700km to empty, as I drove around more, and even reset the fuel consumption, I got more realistic mileage.

I personally won't let it get below ? tank, just personal preference.

When you flash your car, your resetting your average mpg and all data about your fuel economy. It will lie to you, but remain sort of accurate at low levels. It will take about 7 days of driving to go back to normal.
