Hi,
I am taking delivery of my Ford Fiesta ST tomorrow. I have been looking forward to owning and driving one of these since I was a teenager.

I have heard there were some issues with the Focus/Fiesta 2011-2015 transmission. Is this still on-going, I am hoping the issues were the automatic transmissions and not manual, honestly.

Also, any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Congratulations!
As far as I know, the transmission with all the problems was the automatic in the normal fiesta. The manual in the normal fiesta and ST are much more reliable

That's what I thought.
Thanks.

For tires, I am getting the Kunmho Ecsta PA31. For options, I didn't select much, waiting till after test drive, like larger air intakes.

Some petrol-head was recommending an ECU tune-up. I don't know if that's legal in TX or where to even get that done

Look into getting a Cobb Accessport if you want to tune the car. Personally, I'd drive it for a while on the stock tune just to get used to it, but if/when you want more power, the Accessport is the way to go.

Welcome, it's a really fun car, you're going to really enjoy it. FiestaSTdude is right, the problems with the transmission were with the automatic on the non-ST Fiestas.

It's really fun! I've been driving all day like a maniac. Also to get a feel for it. I might even have broken something. Maintenance lights came on tonight as I was finally pulling in. Contacting the dealership...
Other than it just wants to go, go, go -the turbo does that spool up sound when I shift up, but it does it when I shift down too.. like woow is that normal?
Haven't figured out connecting phone to the Bluetooth Sync system yet.
Seems I can't turn on the BT.

Stock blow-off is pretty quiet. I only hear mine with music and windows down on a 80+ degree day and low RPM with something else next to me to reflect the sound... for the most part anyway.

The maintenance light is the wrench and as everyone knows, that's typically an oil change.

That's a check engine light. Need to have the code(s) pulled. These cars are often modded and could be something related to that.

Security updates to BlueTooth may be giving older BlueTooth devices that haven't been updated, some problems.

Thanks! It definitely feels modded. Dealership is closed today, went to Autozone,
errors: misfiring 1st engine cylinder
recommended fix: getting a new injector, or coil

Waiting to have the dealership fix it tomorrow, and also give me a list of mods, hopefully. Will update.
Definitely enjoyed the light drive today, as well. 1 hour down this winding road I've been eyeing... lol
This car sticks to the road like tar!

Get rid of Stink 2 and move up to sync 3 at the earliest convenience...you will thank me later. There are companies that make plug and play options also that are moderately priced! Enjoy!

Hey masters, Padawan here... sitting in Autonation service lot to have the dash lights checked right now.
Info sys update: I updated to Sync 3.1 Sunday. Still the same connection issue. I think my BT is not turning on. I pulled the 15A fuse in behind the glove compartment overnight and inserted Monday, still the same.
Goes BT is off, set on. I click yes and that diag box doesn't go away and acknowledge BT is now on. Then the Add phone box comes up, I click add and the same BT dialog box repeats. Picts attached.
What's the plug and play please?
