Mountune Vs. Eibach. End the debate for me.

Hey guys, I’ve combed through nearly every thread on this and I still haven’t come to a conclusion.
I think these 2 springs (rate and drop) are more similar than Mountune lets on, but I haven’t found out for sure.

I’m looking for a modest drop and the progressive spring to soak up some bumps would be nice, too.

Is there any reason the Mountunes should demand a higher price tag or are they cut from the same cloth?

I know they are made by eibach to mountune's required spec. I think they might have a stiffer rate on the soft end of their progressive spring. Idk.

I got solution neither lol. Get some Swift, ST or Whiteline.

I got the Eibachs for this same reason, cost. Well, that and the Mountunes had a manufacturing issue for a bit (also documented in the forums somewhere). I just couldn't justify spending more money on something when I knew the performance gains (if any) would be negligible to me. Regardless, you will feel and see a difference over stock, unless you get some of the problematic Mountunes.

If I can’t score some used Eibachs or get a good deal I’ll go Mountune (new) to avoid that issue.

I ended up with Eibachs but havent installed yet. Not exactly my first choice for a suspension setup for this car but I couldn't pass on a new set for $145 shipped.

If lose a little wheel gap and gain some ride comfort or performance "feel" I will be happy.

on the fist i bought, it had b8 front struts with mountune springs.
rear had stock shocks with mountune springs, it rides nice, but i ordered b8 rear shocks to finish it off.
i like the feel so far, and i imagine it will be a bit better when i install the rear shocks.
i also bought a set of td 1.2 15x8 et 35 wheels and they had 205/50 tires mounted on them.
i actually like the ride so far, i dont want a stiff ride, but not a soft ride as well, so far with this combo, i am getting it closer to the way i want.
i have heard alot of good things about the swift springs, but have not rode in a car with them, i have wondered if its a stiff ride or not.
i dont track or anything either

Nice. Unless a good deal comes up for the Mountune springs I think I’ll go ahead and go Eibach and pair them with the B8s

i dont blame you, this was basically the same setup i was going to go with on my STedan, basically known as the clubsport suspension.
since i was lucky and it was already on the car except for the rear shocks, i can at least say so far i really do like the feel.
i am sure you wont be disappointed
