My cowl lip is deteriorating

The thin lip where my cowl meets the windscreen is chunky. The UV has gotten to it here in the rain forest. Lol

I’m not interested in replacing it new, it will obviously just crumble again. Has anyone trimmed it and put some better rubber on it?
