I have carbotech XP10 pads in the front and EBC orange in the rear. I also have SVT 280mm rotors in the rear. When I brake really hard on the track, the rear almost wants to kick out and I have to either ease up on the brakes or struggle to keep the steering straight. Am I doing something wrong with my setup? Should I put XP10 on the rears too? This is usually when braking hard downhill. I try to do all my braking in a straight line. TIA.

Look at rear tire pressure.

I don’t recall the friction coefficient of the rear pad offhand. The rear brakes don’t do much in terms of braking force, even an OEM sport pad would be fine for track days.

I run WINMAX pads front and rear and I have more than 2/3s or so rear, fronts down to the metal usually.
