Earlier this month, I posted a Serpentine Belt Failure" on my Fist which led to loss of power and stranded on the freeway. It eventually cost me $1,600 to repair. After I picked my car up and popped the hood, I found a piece of metal laying by the hood latch mechanism. I called the shop, they suggested bring it by but was wondering if any of you could ID it. It seems to be a mounting bracket of some kind. Obviously, not critical as I was able to drive back home 40 miles.
I've attached a photo. Can any of you identify it? Is it critical...just a spare/extraneous part?
