Why oh why is the 4X108 selection so limited! I know this has been beaten to death, but I cannot find any decent looking reasonably priced wheels to replace my TD. Looking for preferably Rota Grids or Slipstreams. Prefer to buy new. Any Help would be appreciated.

I went to a 4x100 bolt pattern, first to do it on the FiST that I know of, so I could get wide 15" wheels but have wanted to run 16's for some of my setups and hardly anything available even in 4x100. Tires, not so many choices either, 15's better for race tires but worse for something like a great all season. 16's much better but few wheels to pick from. 4x108 is a horrible bolt pattern for a car in North American and tiny wheel wells does not help when most good stuff starts at 17" and then we have gearing issues and weight to consider......

I love my little FiST but wheels and tires and fitting BBKs has been a major headache.

Unlike RAAM I could give two shits about weight and race car stuff. I just want some cool wheels!! Which, sadly are seemingly non-existent . I think in the end he has the right idea have the hubs and disc converted to 4x100 or 5x108 to open your options. A guy on here was doing it for like 120 bucks and in a 4x100 pattern you can find probably anything your heart desires.

16x8 is a perfect size, Kudos to PCA for making this a viable option.

I can only get one wheel in 16x8 for any sort of decent price in 4x100 and others are very costly, take a long time to get, no ready spares unless buy extras....

-----------------

For those that like looks over performance and choose to degrade their cars that way so be it, I will never do something like that but I will make sure others at least hear about it being what it really is as some just do not know better and it not about race car, it is about real car, real use, real roads, real weather, real safety, etc...

We are not quite there yet with the 16x8, as more interested enthusiasts are needed. The response has been great so far! More work to be done!!!

I would get a set or two if I still had 4x108 fitment but have to stick with 4x100 as have 18 wheels, need to sell 4 of them though.

So my choices are to go down to a 16" wheel with a 205/50 that I am not crazy about, or a halfway decent 17" wheel I kind of like and go with a 205/45 hoping it will be a bit softer ride and decent in light snow. Decisions decisions

In 16" the 205/45/16 Comp 2 AS seems like a really decent tire, I am considering them or the 50 series.

I just started a thread about why I like 16x8 to hopefully get more interest to help make this happen.

An 8" is wider than needed for the Comp 2 in those sized but probably will be fine.

You can get the Mich PS-3 A/S in 205/50/16, 7.2" tread width, the 17's I have came with 7.5" tread width and look to wide for the 7" wheels I have them on. Not a great snow tire but I would be fine using them in light snow.

So, I am about to order a set of 16" Sparco's but want to be sure of tire size. I am lowered on Eibach's, will a 205/50 work?

Most likely but how wide are the wheels?

6.5 would be a bit narrow, 7 or 7.5 OK, 8 a bit wide.

And which tires, the numbers manf use are rather arbitrary, which specific tires?
