Hello, I bought a used manual 2011 Ford Fiesta SES (2011's titanium?) instead of a ST for a more fuel economy, hopefully cheaper maintenance, and a lower price.
What are all the differences between them?
Engine+turbo, control arms, gearbox, suspension parts, tires, what else?
I didn't realize SCCA banned the non-ST for autocross, is scca rallycross still open for non-ST?
Will this car survive rally cross? Do I need a skidplate? xbar? strutbar? mudflaps? lights?
The car has almost 100k miles but is a little rough.
The suspension was gone, I got the control arms and rear shocks replaced with stock ones.
The transmission gasket was leaking, mechanic got one ordered.
It still needs a front suspension
(wheel makes a thud noise when turning and going over bumps)
Open to slightly better than stock front suspension suggestions.
Bilstein? hitachi shocks?
Basic maintenance:
I know the engine ticking noise is normal, but what is it? There's also a slightly high pitch whirring noise, like a belt, maybe waterpump? waterpump is not leaking.
Serpentine belt was replaced ~10k miles ago
spark plug rec? ngk iridium?
should i ask mechanic for an injection cleaning?
should i run it on shell 92 to burn off carbon before doing an oil change?
filter and oil recommendations? Motocraft? Castrol high mileage synthetic? MAHLE filter?
Does the ti-vct unit need to be replaced?
brake rotors are pretty rusty, pad and rotor recommendations?
keep stock rear drum brakes?
Came with 195/60r16 tires. The tires are old, open to suggestions. Was considering 2 sets of wheels. One for daily one for possibly rallyx.
But I would want the offroad wheels to also be driveable on the freeway to the dirt road lol.
how bad is the rollover? What offset will fit without the need to roll fenders or rubbing when turning?
I see some under $100 a tire deals for:
Hankook ventus concept v2? aumho souls kh25? fortune?
what's good wheel/tires size for street comfort+fuel economy and dirt?
What about other economy and fuel efficiency features? Has anyone tried to incorporate any features fromt the Fiesta ECOnetic?
General Body:
What minimizes buffeting noise, window deflectors? recommendations?
The trunk leaks, previous owner installed an ST-style wing on the hatch. I'm guessing the leak is from that, because when I was drying out the trunk and drove with the hatch open, it slammed and water came out.
Roof rack rubber trim recommendations (it's dried out)? Also rails/rack recommendations?
Does the US/North American version have 2 reflectors in the back bumper? Are there mods to make them brake lights or fog/park lights?
Is there a mod to make the middle/top light blink when braking? (I feel tiny and don't want to get rear ended)
Interior/dash:
Anyway to turn the engine off but leave the car in accessory mode so the radio doesn't turn off when I shut the engine off?
(it's a push start, I can't just turn the key) I mean, except stalling the car... any other way?
The hold a button on the remote to lower windows feature, I don't have it is that for later years/ST?
(but at least it locks silently, I think the second honk is just confirmatiion, right?)

What does occupancy vs driver mode do exactly?
Also what's the difference between using DSP equilizer and sound settings (bass/middle/treble)
sync audio voice commands mentioned "apps" and "navigation" what is that about?
FORSCAN:
Does it cover the dash computer and the sync 1 stereo, or just the dash?
is there a way to change the splash/boot screen or what is displayed on time/date?
I saw a guide to use forscan to disable the annoying shift up light on the fiesta st

Are there any mods that will enter test mode and switch display to temperature with a single button push?
