So far its been great, I actually have been getting better mpg (last 2 fill ups was 32mpg) but its probably because i'm more aware of my revs and speed, as well as better holiday commute. Acceleration seems to be improved so i can cruise sooner, so that may be it. I dont have any solid data to back this up but this is my feeling. I have the TT set at +6.00 and have had peaks as high as 25.5psi shown on my mtune device. The pairing with my nexus 5x is kinda hit and miss due to my phone auto pairing with SYNC but other than that BT works weell enough to set and forget. Other than getting a cobb ap3 again and getting protune its a good middle ground with my mp215 vs going mr230 or protune. Now that I know Pete has gone from mp215 to protune it opens up options for me in the future since i dont plan on getting a DP for CARB reasons.
Just fyi my current mods are:
mountune mp215+fmic+pipes+catback+quickshift
TT (set at +6.00)
cobb rmm
DHM symposer delete
boomba short shifter+base bushings
no-pisons pedal spacer and dead pedal

Yes it really is a great stepping stone. When paired with the mp215 tune I feel for street use it is amazing for us Californians. But on track you are going to want more power. With my new tune on an AP I have my turbo transformer still attached but set to 0. I haven't felt the need to add any more boost with a protune.

Also FYI i contacted Ameya asking some questions that honestly belong on his FAQ. but he was very responsive and helpful (these are somewhat edited)

Q: How is the BT connection secured? is there a "default" pairing code? Any possibility to customize that?
A: I assign a PIN number for pairing your phone to the unit. The pairing code is unique and gets emailed to you as your item is shipped. I do not offer a customized code (to keep things simple) but it is definitely possible although it will significantly delay your order. The bluetooth modules are pre-programmed with the pairing code and then sent for assembly. After assembly the entire unit is dipped in conformal coating which seals the module and protects it from moisture - this also makes it impossible to flash anything to it aftewards (hence the delay if you want a custom code).
As far as installation in the vehicle is concerned, I definitely recommend securing the module to the harness so it doesn't bounce around. I have started packaging zip ties with the modules for the customer's convenience (although my shipping guy has forgotten them once or twice).

Q:So I've had it installed for a few days. I'm looking for some clarification on the boost values I can set on the tt. 0.00 is no change. But if I set it at 6.00 what does it mean? After 12psi does it retard the readout to push 6psi more or allow 6 more at peak?
A:Yes, that is exactly what it does. If you ask for +6 psi, the chip sends a
signal that is lower by 6 psi to the ECU, making the ECU generate 6 more
psi. This is not dependent on engine speed. So even at the higher rpms, the
chip is still requesting +6 psi. However, this loses its effectiveness as
you set the unit higher and higher.

What I mean is, the first few extra psi you request are very precise (for
eg, at +3.5 you will get +3.5 psi gain in boost). But if you request 6.5
psi, you will probably gain around 5.25 to 5.5 psi (even though the signal
sent to the ECU really has a 6.5 psi deficit). This is due to the
turbocharger unable to keep up (especially at the higher engine speeds).
You also have a tune, so you are already working the turbo harder than
those without a tune.

And if you set +8 psi, the ECU realizes that the turbo can not make the
requested boost and simply puts you in limp in (no CEL, possibly a wrench
light) until you key off and back on with a lower setting.
