Hi everyone! My first post!

What are the oil alternatives apart from the official WSS-M2C948-B for the MK8 1.5 Dragon Fiesta ST? I would like to up my viscosity to better suit my use case. I would aim for oils to prevent LSPI, "euro" oil for emissions systems... is there anything else to be aware of, like a wet belt?

I am monitoring and recording OBD2 data during my drives to get better understading. Basically the oil gets over 110 degrees C quite fast, which obviously negatively affects oil pressure too. I am not feeling confident at prolonged touge/track sessions with WSS-M2C948-B to be honest. A 5w30 with higher HTHS visc would probably be more suitable at 110+ C IMO.

Thanks!

I am using the Ravenol DXG 5W-30 in my 2016 USDM Fiesta ST's 1.6 EcoBoost 4 pot, but I am fully out of warranty.

It has one of the best additive packages anywhere, it uses a PAO and some POE base stock, and is specifically geared towards reducing LSPI, but does not carry any (as far as I know) Ford WSS specs.

It's HTHSV is ~3.2, which is not super high for a 5W-30 (like Red Line's white bottle regular 5W-30 is almost a 40 weight, at 3.7 or 3.8!), but it is a bit higher than almost any actual 5W-20.

I am not sure whether or not there is anything in it which would destroy wet timing belts, or not, you would have to call their tech department for that info.
