Just bought a 14' 20k miles ford certified 7 year 100k warranty.

Parts purchased Injen intake and FSwerks short shifter.

I'm torn on how to proceed further. So much good information on this site. I got the Injen for sound and the shifter to shorten the long throws. I figured these mods won't effect the warranty. IF I want to retain the warranty, would I get a benefit of getting a FMIC (MTC) with no tune? Will the car compensate for this mod? Will this void the power train warranty on just this one component? I live in Miami and do a lot of freeway driving and no plans of tracking it. Is a FMIC not necessary in my case getting constant flow in most cases?

I had a 13' GT500 prior and the first items changed was the lower thermostat and water wetter. I haven't seen it mentioned on the forum. Is this a nonissue?

Thanks for your time

Seeing hot you reside in FL...I'd get an AP and FMIC as next mods, but don't know how these will affect your warranty.

An FMIC and an AP will void your warranty. If they really dig they'll be able to tell, but most dealerships aren't going to investigate if you don't make it obvious that you were running a tune. Just flash a stock tune and remove the AP before taking it in.

Without a tune the FMIC benefits will be present but minimal. With the Injen intake and an FMIC you can run COBB Stage 2 OTS or get a custom tune, which will really bring out the power.
