AEM 3.5bar map
Bosch 4bar Tmap
New tuning revision
Maintenance light came on out of nowhere.
Cleared it. Drove fine then came back on next ignition cycle. Car was freaking out and stuttering/misfiring.
Check engine light on. No other codes
Flashed previous revision, drove fine for a while then reappeared.
Used access port to gauge barometric pressure, boost pressure, MAP and TIP.
With engine not running the sensors aren't reading correctly-
MAP and TIP should read barometric
BP should be zero
BP and MAP are both fluctuating evenly with each other and reading high
TIP is reading low.
(Attached video)
Pulled the connectors for the Map and tmap sensors- no corrosion and AP still shows the same fluctuations but different base values.
Pulled out the ecu plugs and metered for shorts in the harness at the connector 140, map and tmap sensors.
MAP- no contact between connector pins.
TMAP - ~240 ohms between 1 and 3
I thought this is strange and there must be a short because there should be infinite resistance here according to the writing diagram But I'm getting some sort of connection between VREF and SIGRTN-
Pulled the harness apart, huge PITA. No broken wires to be found.
Found that there's a splice on both Vref and SigRTN wires in the harness that run further up the engine to something else.
So reference voltage is shared which makes sense but wtf is SigRTN shared.
So if there is another component in parallel with the Tmap sensor then it makes sense that I'm getting continuity at the TMAP connector even with the harness disconnected from the sensor and ECU.
Back to square one.

Help?
