Mine is too. Did you buy yours used or brand new? Mine was bought used so I wonder if it's been taken apart before.

I had my passenger side mirror replaced about a year ago because I whacked it on the side of my garage while parking. They had to take off the interior door panel to get to the place where it attached.
In case this helps here is a picture of what the interior of the door looked like with the panel off

The only thing that is in there is the connector for the power part of the mirror. Otherwise the mounting bolt can be accessed through the round cover in the top left of the photo, just above where the wire harness passes from the door to the body.

That's good to know. So presumably you could tighten the mirror without taking the door panel off, but you would have to take the door panel off to replace it to attach the power connector to the new mirror.

Correct, OP just needs to be careful because its a stud threaded into a nut mounted in plastic within the mirror housing. Too much tightening and it will break. (also the nut that holds it is a complete POS to loosen or tighten)
