Quietest intake?

So I have the injen intake on my car and I'm starting to get tired of the induction noise.
Other than the stock air box which intake allows a little noise without being overpowering?

I agree that the induction noise without ACTUAL power is kind of... lame, but I imagine any aftermarket unit will be louder than the stock unit. Why not just go back to stock instead of wasting your $ experimenting?

I'm currently running stage three. So I'd say there's some actual power there. The point of this post is which one is least loud without going back to stock. Which is obviously the quietest of all. Anyone with input who has heard other intakes?

I would say cobb as it still is enclosed by the stock airbox, mountune one is pretty quiet too as it is the stock airbox with a secondary air hose routed to behind the bumper.

I've heard/driven a FiST with the Cobb intake before and I think it's relatively loud compared to stock (a decent amount of blow off noise IMO). My preference is for quieter vehicles oppose to obnoxious, so my perspective might be biased. I'm sure Cobb might actually be quieter than some other systems out there. It was fun for a bit, but I felt like the Cobb unit was annoying after a while. Anyways, I would say explore the Mountune option.

Mishimoto has an enclosed box as well.

Dont give up on the stock box yet. I have a modified stock box, which simply means I drilled a bunch of large holes in
select places. I also added a K&N air filter and I get noticably more intake sound with this setup over stock. It is not
obnoxiously loud or annoyoing but I can hear things that an otherwise stock box would not do.

If the Cobb is too loud for you, you really should save your $$ and go back to stock. I can hear faint blowoff with the Cobb, but otherwise its pretty darn quiet.

I have the Cobb intake and it is barely louder than the stock system. I'm actually thinking of going the opposite route and getting something louder.
