During some spare time started digging into dipsticks. I do detest the oem one. It's always a battle to get a solid read on the level. Anyhow I found a brit discussing his fix. Found them available on UK sites very cheap. Anywhere from 8 to 15 bucks (equivelant).
Ebay had one for 35 bucks shipped from UK. Grabbed it and will do my own comparisons with the oem. Some pics and info added.
