Bushings at trans bracket, was ready to pull the trigger on the install until I saw all that had to come apart for access. Those who have done it, worth the effort?

Answered my own question, did the install, not as bad as I thought. Only intake tube, air box lid, battery and box had to come out. Unbolted ECU from battery box so no de-mate.

Verdict: about as expected, biggest difference the occasional hard shift into first at a stop where you have to shift into 2nd then first is gone. Hard detent through neutral when shifting is lessened. Only downside is a metallic "clicky" feel to shifter now, somebody described it as "feels like a bolt action rifle." Makes me think hard urethane replacement for stock bushings rather than solid might have been the better idea. Would I go back to stock though? No.

I didnโ€™t see your first post.
That said, I suspect this upgrade is as much about precision upon hard, high RPM shifts as anything else. I have them ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Enjoy!

Answered my second question, tried hard urethane (80 Shore A) bushings. These hit the sweet spot, 90 % of the benefits of solid bushings but butter smooth, just enough "give" when needed.

Some fab required. Urethane is easily machined with 80-120 grit, used sanding disc and Dremel sanding drum. My solid bushings were the Cobb type so I pretty much just duplicated the Cobbs in urethane. Started with these: https://www.energysuspensionparts.com/9.9176

Don't expect many reading this will go to the trouble of making their own bushings but wanted to put it out there as a superior option.

Another option would be to ship over the UK spec shifter bushings as these are polyurethane from the factory.

US ones are urethane from factory as well, I'm guessing same as UK. Issue is they're too soft, measure at Shore A 50.
