I’m planning to kick off another run of brake caliper adapter brackets for the Fiesta ST.

With this kit, you will be able to fit a set of 2002-2004 Ford SVT Focus (2.0 DOHC) off-the-shelf 300x24mm rotors to your ST, matched with a pair of 97-04 Porsche Boxster 986 Base model (2.5L or 2.7L) Brembo 4-pot brake calipers.

The caliper adapter brackets have been engineered by yours truly and are made from 6061-T6 Aluminum. They are hard anodized for corrosion resistance (and looking cool!) and are supplied with stainless steel helical thread inserts for strength and to handle the repeated removal and reinstallation required in order to swap rotors. They’re also a bit beefier than many aftermarket brackets (about 500g each) because I take safety seriously and it makes for a nice stiff brake pedal. The kit including calipers still comes out under the weight of the stock iron calipers.

I chose 986 calipers because they are available both new and used, and are both an exact match for the rotor size (300x24mm) and also have correctly sized pistons (40mm/36mm) to match the Fiesta ST 54mm single front piston. Combined with an SVT rear bracket upgrade available from Whoosh, Pumaspeed, or other shops, you will have a BBK that matches the factory brake bias within 2%, for optimum stopping performance.

Kit Will Include:
  • 2x - Caliper adapter brackets
  • 4x - M12x1.75 thread 65mm Class 12.9 socket head bracket-to-caliper bolts
  • 4x - M12x1.75 thread 40mm ARP Stainless 12-point hub-to-bracket bolts
  • 2x - M10x1.0 thread 18mm banjo bolts with crush washers (not shown)

Pricing for the bracket kit is $525.

You’ll need to supply your own Brembo calipers (about $300-600 used or about $1200 brand new from FCPEuro) as well as SVT 300mm front rotors (about $30-100 ea). And, of course, your choice from a wide selection of Porsche Boxster brake pads. Aftermarket brake lines for the FiST bolt right up to the calipers with the shorter banjo bolt.

I’ve written up a set of full instructions for installation here, including caliper part numbers, rebuild instructions and wheel fitment.
Link to Installation Instructions

The kit is designed to fit under 16” wheels with a minimum of 2.25” spoke clearance as measured from the stock Fiesta ST rotors.
A fitment template can be found here for reference purposes

The following wheels have been confirmed to fit with no spacers:
Konig Dekagram - 16x8 ET40
Konig Heliogram - 16x8 ET40
Autec Tallin - 16x6.5 ET38

Other wheels may or may not require spacers. The instructions link lists additional wheel/spacer combinations that have been tested. The kit may also be compatible with 17” wheels, other 16” wheels, and maybe even some generous 15” wheels - the list will be updated as others are confirmed. I cannot offer refunds or accept returns for any reason, including wheel fitment. Like all aftermarket parts, use and install at your own risk. I've done as much diligence I can in the design and manufacturing, but I cannot offer a warranty of any kind.

The group buy requires a minimum of 10 sets. Please confirm by June 30 so that I can place the order in the first week of July. For the previous run (photo below), it took about 6-8 weeks from placement of the order, so I’d tentatively expect them to ship out around the beginning of September. Payment is via PayPal invoice that I’ll start sending out once there are at least 10 signups. Price includes paypal fee and shipping anywhere in the US (flat rate priority mail), however shipping outside the US would be an additional cost - DM me if you're interested. These should also fit any Mk7/7.5 FiST that use the same TRW front calipers as the US model with 120mm bolt spacing

This has got to be the worst timing ever. With my exhaust manifold stud woes I can't dedicate the funds to this just yet. Can you put me down as a probably for now? May have to back out if I can't get this snapped manifold stud out of the head or end up needing a new/reman head.

Also, with the end of Centric/Raysbestos/Stoptech, who else is making SVT rotors at this point? Rock Auto seems to have a pretty minimal selection for the Focus SVT without going with the budget stuff.

Good point. I added some additional part numbers for some alternatives to the instructions - Dynamic Friction is a decent alternative I've been looking at. I also found some Brembo part numbers for the UK spec ST170 Focus, which is identical to the US market SVT Focus rotor, but for some reason isn't marketed here as such, but can be purchased from various vendors.

Bendix Part# PRT5443 is also available as a affordable option.

Please add me to the list again.

I picked up a ‘99 986 for a track project so I am going to have a set of these calipers when I go to upgrade the brakes on it. These calipers feel better suited on the FiST after driving both for the last 6+ months on the street and track. The 986 could use larger front calipers/rotors (996/S) & the GT3 master cylinder so folks are always upgrading from these calipers and they are easy to find for sale.

Here is a photo of the daily driver setup.

If I'm understanding this correctly you'll have a set of calipers for sale? Also, how do you like dailying the RT615K+? I know they wear like rocks (we use them on our Lemons endurance cars, they last forever) but I'm curious how they perform on the street.

Looks awesome!

Just to throw it out there - I know the list of "confirmed" wheels is still fairly short, mainly because I just haven't had an opportunity to do fit-checks. Haven't listed any 17" wheels for the same reason (haven't had an opportunity to test)

If you're in the Bay Area/Norcal, open offer if anyone is interested in meeting up to do a fit-check of other types of wheels (PM me). Spoke clearance is the main obstacle - there's enough radial clearance past the calipers that it's even possible some 15" wheels might fit as long as the barrel/shoulder clearance is generous and the wheel weights don't interfere.
