These are my figures:- Timing belt - $57.90, Belt tensioner - $86.33, Water pump and gasket - $88.00, Serpentine belt -$27.50. These are the prices I paid shopping around. During the replacement I also had the overflow coolant bottle (leaking) replaced along with the hose which was brittle at $72.30 plus the radiator cat $27.27. Thermostat assembly $117.95. Now the expensive part, labour came to $2,200 and I used my Ford Pass points which brought the total charged to $2,376.50. Now the car will outlive me! So now I have enough points to get quite a few oil and filter changes!

Don't forget this was done at 107,400 miles rather than around the 150,000 mark. By the time I would have done the other 40,000 odd miles, I'm sure the costs would have been higher. Just something to bear in mind.

Thanks for posting this helpful information. If you wouldn't mind also adding the information to this timing belt thread, that would help keep it all in one place.

I'm at 165k miles and considering a timing belt change. Surely it'll make it another 2 months.

The consequences of it not making it though, are catastrophic. You could pop off the upper timing cover and give it a look. Might as well do it if you're going that far.

That's one reason I did mine with the low mileage. I'm not selling the car so I don't have to worry now.
