Trade in value? Kbb,nada or edmunds more accurate?

I have been thinking of trading in my fist. The dealer I was looking at a car from Had edmunds trade in guide on site so looked at what said car was worth. My fist came it at like 9k trade in value using it and it really made me sick. Kbb was like 11,300 and nada 12,400 or so. In past I always averaged nada and kbb when negotiating trade in.This edmunds seems like a real joke. Is it a realible source? Or are they just out to be in favor of dealers?

We use NADA, black book & the auction report, but typically if you go $1000 below rough book, that’s what you can expect to see first pencil on something later model year. Average to $500 below NADA is about what it’ll be valued at
