Over the past 2 to 3k miles. when I'm in 4th gear or higher, at WOT once the RPM reaches 3k, the turbo whistle changes, higher in pitch, more squeal like as if there is a major boost leak somewhere. im starting to think the stock BOV may be giving under the pressure? im at almost 34k on the car now. any thoughts?

Hijinx hard to get it recorded well on my own but you can hear it once I shift into 4th. I'll try to get a better video here soon.

when I opened up the bottom portion of the grill, since i had the bumper pulled. i tightened every hose clamp hoping that would solve the issue. i have the boomba bov adapter but that doesnt sound like the problem.

Dude, I have this EXACT same noise coming from my car! Finally! Someone else has this issue!

In all honesty, check your Boomba Adapter. I also have the boomba BOV and after a hard pull or two it gets that exact high pitch noise. It almost sounds metallic to a degree?
I only have 15K miles on the clock. It started happening after I took it to the track a few months ago and let it get some bad wheel hop. So I think something is either loose, or the boomba BOV might be the culprit.

Do what 15FiST said and take it off to see the difference. I would do it, but so far performance has had no impact and the car runs perfectly aside from that noise after a hard run.

Let us know if you find a difference.

I get that exact same sound...I also have the boomba adapter...however I didn't start noticing it till I got my car tuned and it only seems to happen when the outside temps are very hot...like 90 plus

It seemed normal to me...couldn't really tell from the video audio.

I do notice it more when its hot outside. It started on a pretty aggressive drive through some windy roads. Really worried me at first. It is almost intermittent at times as I almost had trouble replicating it for the video. Only thing running through my mind when I hear it now is "well there goes my boost pressure"

that is the problem. i had it happening to me, took off the boomba and its gone.i also have the 2j race intake so it sounded like it was inside my car. like a bird was chirping. or a rally car chirp.
