About to enter my first Autocross and was looking if anyone had some tyre pressure recommendations.

My initial reaction is to bump the rears up to the same as the fronts - should make the back more loose and quicker to rotate

In the FWIW category, I'm getting into autocross with my new toy, too. Have run two events, and ran pressures of 42 psi front and 36 psi rear (cold temps) for both, on recommendation of another (more experienced autocrosser) FiST driver. He's now adjusting the front pressures down a bit, from what I understand, but he's also on different tires. I'm running the stock tires, and am fairly comfortable going into the 3rd event running same pressures as above. I'm pretty certain this isn't going to be the final, optimal setup, but I think it's working okay for me right now.

That's a good place to start and adjust from there..

After two events, we've decided on 39psi front/35psi rear is a great starting pressure for our 205/15-16 Dunlop Z2, and we just keep bleeding them back down to that pressure (hot) after each run. Since we run the car with two drivers in one group, we spray with water after ever run and it ends up being close to, with pressures stabilizing about half way through our runs and tires never "falling off" due to temp.

I may have to drop a lb or 2 and see the results. I have been running 41/38 but feel the the 205/50-16 Z2 just aren't giving enough grip (acceleration) though tire wear is where it should be

Ha....that should read 205/50-16 btw...At that pressure, grip is pretty great and the tire is rolling over right where it should be. Car was hilarious to drive at those pressures....EXTREMELY easy to rotate.
