I was planning on buying Hankook RS-4s for track season (loved the RS-3s on my previous car), but they're sold out and new inventory isn't expected until April. Did they have a factory fire or something like that? Or are there any rumors about an RS-5?

Meanwhile, I will probably end up with Bridgestone RE-71s instead. They're more expensive and don't tolerate the heat quite as well as the RS-4s, but I look forward to trying them out.

The sticky street/track tires we love are largely a seasonal product. That's why you see them go on sale in the autumn. I like to buy my summer tires in the fall and winter tires in Mid February to late March! It's an ass backwards process. But I save huge money.
