Whoosh breather hose installed

I know Ron doesn't post all his new products, some I just happen to stumble across. Installed the new breather hose on my 2014. I'm not an aesthetics guy but it definitely cleaned up the bay and looks better than the random long hose but I had. $30 well spent.

I'll be getting this just to make life easier for changing spark plugs. That connector to the crossover just sucks

What is the breather hose's function?

In almost every vehicle there is some type of breather system to help with/meet emissions. My understanding is that it vents pressure from the valve cover and instead of dumping it into the atmosphere it recirculates back into the intake tract. I'm sure there is a better explanation.
