I have the same "problem". It's random occasionally, when you get in the car when it's cold (the car). It goes away virtually right away. My wife has commented on it too (she got a big kick out of THIS thread!).

CHECK UNDER THE ENGINE COVER. Mice love to hide seeds and nests under the plastic engine cover where it is out of sight and nice and warm. Had this on both my cars . Mice took birdseed from a feeder 100' away and loaded up under the cover. It smelled like burnt plants.

Ok, this is happening to me too

Every so often, I get a huge wiff of weed in the car. My car is brand new, and it is stank at times!!

I've basically concluded it is something in the glue materials that makes it smell like that though

Have you tried closing the vents before exiting the vehicle? (turning on recirculation) to see if that minimizes it?

Or just simply naming your car Cheech or Chong.

I noticed the same smell since my car is new (340mi). It goes away after a few minutes. I keep having to ask myself if I smoked before driving? Memory is shot :p

If you decide to head to the dealer to weed out the cause, please let me know. I can look into some additional assistance if you PM your VIN, mileage, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location.

I had a number of people mention this when my car was new. Must be the treatment the leather went through

Thanks, but it doesn't bother me too much. Only lasts a minute or two when I first start the car. Unless Ford is now including cannabis as an alternative fuel source that I didn't know about?

While we do have a line of green vehicles, that's not part of it. ;) If you do decide to head to the dealer, you know where to find me. :)
