That's not a true Fiesta RS, its a Fiesta ST with a Maxton Design RS Kit.

I honestly can't see a Fiesta RS in the American market.

If an RS comes to NA, I will be trading in mine the next day, haha

I'd expect it is about 2 to 3 years out still

I'm cool with that. Enjoy my ST then it can be released just in time for new car shopping.

I imagine a Fiesta RS release would be determined by how well the Focus RS does. That's the only reason a Fiesta ST was released.

If Ford makes it, it will come here. Their new performance models are global. I believe this was posted in a Jalopnik interview with on the Ford ST/SVT designers.

I totally see Ford doing it, this car is becoming a classic already. The Focus RS is being hyped more than some supercars. If the FoRS sells as well as they think it will, they will build it and bring it here. The market for attainable performance cars seems to be skyrocketing right now.

That's not why the FiST was released. The FiST was already in development before the FoST was sitting on lots, and the FoST sat on lots for a while initially when dealerships were trying to mark them up so their initial overall sales were very low.

Also the Fiesta RS once it does come out will not be NA, thats just nuts to think. Honda has been some of the best at low displacement high HP per liter motors since the late 80's. Even they were only pulling around 200-230hp out of a 2.0 and 2.4 NA with almost zero torque.

A Fiesta RS with MINIMAL HP over the FiST with a bigger heavier engine that makes LESS torque? Not gonna happen. Boost means better MPG if you drive it right, better power, more tuning options out of the box, and more torque especially down low.

Id put ALOT of hard earned currency on the Fiesta RS being turbocharged. Whether it be 1.8, 2.0, or just a more built 1.6.

Would be interesting to see it with the 2.0 FoST motor, but that seems unlikely...would probably see a 1.6 with a upgraded turbo or something to make slightly more power.

Awww yeh. I can see the headline:

"The new Fiesta RS...with exploding cylinder 4!"
