Down here in Florida it feels almost like summer already and I know in may parts of the country its already warm (besides the flooding/weird weather elsewhere). For track days where the engine is run at a higher RPM and for longer periods of time than normal, does anyone deviate from the normal synthetic 5W20?

If you do, is this because you read somewhere that it was better? Heard from someone more experienced? Have personal experience? Does anyone have any recommendations?

I personally run 5w-30 in the FiST all the time. It's what they spec in Europe. I'm on the fence whether to run 0w-40 during my track day. I ran 5w-30 the last time but that was with a stock tune. I am now stage 3 with manifold back exhaust and FMIC so everything will be hotter overall, hence the thoughts about 0w-40.

Check out my recent UOA in the stickied thread that included 9XX miles of track time. If I were to tune Id go with Xw40 though.

Sorry, but I don't know what UOA means? Have the link to your thread? Thanks!
