Yep, mine was 5 weeks to the day. Currently waiting on Adam to get me a base tune. I would really hate to get this thing installed tomorrow and not have a tune for it...
Damn, you been waiting lol. The base tune should be sent with the turbo, most ppl Likely install near or on the weekend

Yeah, five weeks sucks, especially considering I paid for my core.

I am actually a little miffed considering I gave him all the info he needed to send me a base tune 24 hours before business close on Friday. I will be installing the turbo this weekend without a base tune and I assume will have to wait until Monday to receive it.

I didn't know I was going to receive the turbo until the day it arrived.

Any info on the X37+?
In the works, ETA is a few months still. It might not even go into production, still need to do testing.

x2. Adam said it could require extra fueling. Wonder if it'll still use the stock compressor/turbine housings
It will.

What's the x-37+? I can't find any info on it.
See above.

Be glad you aren't working with someone else, they can take up to 2 weeks to get back to you. Right now is just a bad time because I'm 20 hours away from the office, working on the road and out of a hotel, AND launched the Focus RS tuning this week and got 30+ orders.

I have over 100 emails just from today, and I didn't have a chance at all to work today. You can drive the car and break in the turbo on an OTS map, just don't go WOT until you receive my base tune which will be Monday when I'm back in the office. I will be driving from SC to MN the next two days.

I don't have my Cobb key with me and accessing a remote computer to build tune files and unfortunately we lost power in Minnesota mid-day so my computer turned off :(.

Send me the x37+ and I'll make all the power :) What is "testing" is there a dyno for turbos or are you gonna put it on a car and boost the shit out of it :p

Truth. I didn't get any contact from one mail order tuner on this board for 3 days after purchasing the tune. Then waited another two days for my ots tune [call]

Tune+ is not only working, but also posts on the forum throughout the day and even on a Friday night. When I want to take the next step from S3, I'm looking at X37 just because of the top to bottom support that can be offered.

I put it on a car, and tune it on the dyno with multiple fuels and configurations to make sure it performs as it should.

Turbo is out. Time to install the IWG actuator and swap the manifold over. Woot.

I'm not in a huge rush considering I won't have a tune until Monday. I was told I can drive the car but can't go WOT until the base tune is installed.

Turbo install done.

So, was told not to go WOT. I hope 84% throttle isn't too much. [nono] Tee hee.
Car feels great and the driveability is definitely intact just using the Cobb stage 3 OTS tune. If it wasn't for that damn whistle from the intake my wife probably would never even notice the change.

18psi of boost at 6.1k rpms in 3rd gear and not even WOT.

I can't wait until Monday!

Starting round two of X37 install. I have new downpipe bolts on hand this time. Let's hope I can finish today.

It's just not a crazy big different from what it has already. The 15-20whp difference in wheel size isn't going to change the entire turbo character or anything. As for me doing it? I'm putting a 350-360whp comp wheel in a td04hl. Not to mention my results would be void on a stock fiesta ST engine since my car no longer has a stock engine. Any results I got would not apply to everyone else.
But for the person looking to reach that 300whp mark, a free upgrade seems like a no brainer.
We could do this service in 1 business day as well, so it would not delay anyone very much.
I thought this thread was for the X-37. A modified X-37 would no longer be an X-37...

Anyway, I have driven on the X-37 with Cobb Stage 3 for over 100 miles now...still no WOT but other than the whistle, it feels great.

7 hours later...got the X-37 installed?
And I have a small coolant leak between the block and the turbo. Looks like the ports that are plugged on the side of the turbo. Checked them before install and even bent a Allen key to check them on the block. Seem tight but now I have to take it all apart again to see what's up. Maybe I'll have better luck on round 3. All in all its actually pretty easy to do. I took along break after I got it out. Would have been faster to just remove it all again then try to fix it while it was all bolted up.

Are you sure its not just coolant leftover from the install? Coolant does burn off quite quickly when things get hot but otherwise it will hang around.

Does it leak under pressure or is it leaking when things are cold?

It drips when it's cold and it doesn't stop dripping.

Ahhh, that sucks. Are you sure its coming from the back of the turbo? You didn't cross thread the banjo bolts for the coolant lines?

That was my first thought, but they are definitely not the culprit. It looks to be from the plugs on the opposite side of the banjos, but the plugs appear tight and have crush washers. I'll find out when I get home from work and pull the turbo again.

Alright, it's been said over and over bit this is the perfect turbo. A little background on me, I came from the subi community. I had an 04 sti. First I had all the bolt ons. After a while I was an idiot and went the big turbo route and lost the fun low end solid power. Yes I had a good punch from 4200 rpms bit I lost the fun drivability in the car. Fast forward to now, I got the fist and set my line in the sand at just stage 3 bolt ons and tune. After a while I found myself shopping for yet another "big" turbo. After reading some reviews and doing research, I decided on the x37. It was the only choice for.me. price line is perfect, retains the stock spool and adds good power throughout the entire powerband. Having installed ot and gone through adam Tune+, I'm completely satisfied with his service and product. I hit 29 pounds of boost the other night and just wow. Jaw on the floor. Stock housing turbo just screams. For all of those on the fence, make the purchase. You will not regret it. If you have little to no mechanical skills, have a friend help you install.
