Rev hang only on e30 tune

Hey guys I have some serious rev hang only on my custom e30 tune (rpm's occasionally won't drop for 10 seconds, when clutch is in). When I switch to my 91 oct tune it goes away, and when I switch back to the e30 it starts up again. It rev hangs the worst when it is 85 degree or hotter out. Not sure what this could be. My tuner says that it shouldn't rev hang from just switching tunes. Anyone have ideas on what is going on?

Ill try to post of video of the hang later.

I'll probably do another data log and send it to him.

This is still happening. I did a 3rd gear log and it looks fine according to Adam. He told me he couldn't do much by looking at log of a rev hang.
Anyone have any suggestions?

There are tables within the ECU that can be adjusted for "rev hang." But, these are dashpot/throttle functions available to adjusted, as indicated by the fact that it doesn't happen on your other tune. A datalog may not tell him what he needs to change, but he can surely see that it's "hanging." As a suggestion, instead of doing a normal datalog (3rd gear pull to redline), get a log of normal driving through a couple gears. Then, get a log of the hang specifically by driving and depressing the clutch pedal, and letting it hang until it falls a few times.

Thanks I'll get a few more of those logs. The Rev hang feature is turned off on the tune, but it still hangs for a very long time.

Since I'm not a tuner, I can't say this with 100% accuracy, but I'm fairly certain "rev hang" is not simply an ON/OFF feature. The time it takes the engine to decelerate to idle can be calibrated. I believe it's stated to be turned OFF for simplicity of communication. In other words, it's not likely a toggle box.

a new tuner, do yourself a favor and try out a $50 stratified flash tune just for shits and giggles to compare it to what you have now, i bet youll love it

I have the tune+ lifetime tune. I really love the power on the e30 tune but the rev hang does annoy me! I might buy the flash tune and see whats up with it.

the strat tune removed most of the issue for me and the GFB DV took care of the rest. Now I just shift and go. ZERO delay.

It looks like they have only a 91/93 flash tune, no e30? Is this true?
