To run the gtx2860r turbo, what do I need to upgrade? Just a tune, an IC, and a downpipe? Does it matter which brand of those things I get?

^^ This. If you are planning on going the ATP route you are going to hate it. you wont see full boost on the ATP 2860 turbo setup until 5500rpm. DHMs 2860 is seeing 20 psi by 3300ish and full boost by 3600ish, all according to your elevation and octane rating of fuel. also DHM has multiple choices of Turbines sizes to accommodate faster spool if you want. DHM best choice hands down if not going Hybrid turbo.

When do you hit full boost on stock turbo?

I haven't driven a stock turbo in quite a while but if you go full throttle at 2k rpms, it is full boost by 2400-2500 I would think. that tiny little turbo has insta spool.

If you want to spend $3500+ sure deadhook is the way to go. ATP does spool slower but not by what this guy says. Also a slighty used atp turbo can be had for $1300. Soooooo what is 500-700 rpms worth to ya is the real question.

But why suffer the spool when you can get a smaller turbo with way better spool, and make the same power. If not going Deadhook the only other viable way is to go Cyborg39 or x37. Which can make the same power you do, have better spool, oh and it's cheaper.

I don't think it's possible to make the power I want to make on an x37 or a cyborg. I only have 93 gas and I want to be able to run with corvettes and mustangs etc.

To run with covrvettes and the like you are going to need a goodnpower band with Hp and torque, not just a certain amount of power. You will either need a super light car or Aux fuel to get there. Also the cyborg39 is still new and under tuning but making great power.

That's why I emailed DHM about what I need to run the 450r kit. I asked them if I needed a loud 3 inch exhaust, a specific intercooler, and a specific BOV to run the kit. It's been almost a week and they haven't responded but I'm waiting.

DHM try this. Russ will take care of you. You can also try Facebook. They had a huge problem with their email recently.

The 450r kit will come with everything you need (turbo, hotside pipe, BOV, Wastegate, down pipe, coolant and oil lines, manifold and dump tube) minus the intercooler. The race intercooler kit is highly recommended. Exhaust is nice to have, a plus. If you're not planning on running aux fuel and an ethanol mix, I HIGHLY suggest the 360r kit.

Our turbo kits will bolt up to the stock car or any mods meant for a Fiesta ST.

Only requirement is that you have a cobb AP to tune. Now to make certain power levels certain things are needed. We have made 370whp with a stock exhaust, injen intake and our DHM factory fit intercooler. We can work with any budget to get your car to where you want!

Also unless your wanting to go built engine and make over 400whp the GTX360r kit is hands down the best option! 20psi @ 3500rpm in 3rd and 20psi @3300rpm in 4th

I have the 360 kit, with the .52 ar turbine and I love it. Also have a dhm race intercooler, hot air filter, meth injection. Stock cat back with no cat and its nice and quiet. I'm currently in tuning with Alex at stratified and the drivability and throttle response is amazing. Sitting at 325 vd whp ATM. Highly recommend this kit!
