E85 Conversion/Port injection

Looks like this has been abandoned but i'd figure i'd re-ask since we have turbocharged engines and E85 is like god's fuel for boost'd engines. Why on earth do we still not have any E85 solution. The statified solution seems cool but its TB injection it seems.Boomba seems to be the only other guysin town that can provide a spacer (for injectors). Has anyone ran the Boomba spacer with Full E85. Anyone here running a full E85 setup (i dont want to rehash my 2 stroke days of mixing fuel before I can operate).

Stratified has a 4-port now. The first batches should be getting to the first buyers pretty soon.

We don’t have a full E85 solution yet because it’s not worth it really. You can max out a stock turbo car on E30, but not on E85. You can max out the engine on big turbo on E40-50, but not on E85.

In other words, there’s no solution because there’s no real problem. Until fully built long blocks are common, a pnp E85 solution won’t be a thing. However, with strats new 4-port you could probably run full E85...at a loss in power because the in-tank fuel pump can’t keep up. Basically, get 4-port and upgrade the in-tank aka LPFP.

I figured as much - just wondering do we even have a LPFP upgrade available ?

I should have more info in the coming weeks (I'm waiting on a back ordered cylinder head) once that gets here the car goes together and I'll have more info for this thread. We personally feel the lpfp should be good to 400ish horsepower. If the need arises I will order a duetch works pump for the focus ST and push further.

Look for updates from me in a few weeks. As far as I know I will be one of the first people attempting this.

No PNP kits, so it’ll have to be a custom job.

My car started running the LPFP down on E50. Will be interesting to see if the 4-port can actually make up for it. But, even 4-port FoSTs start tapping out around 400 on full E85, IIRC. I suspect that it’ll be the same case as always. Maybe get close to 400, but be able to make much more on a blend.

I spoke with Adam [MENTION=3805]Tune+[/MENTION] regarding doing a full E85 fiesta with the Stratified port injection kit, and retrofitting a focus ST or RS in-tank pump to handle the ethanol without any issues. Add on to that cams and mid-thirties psi of boost, will be around 400 wheel all said and done. This is of course with a built engine, also from tune+.

I can't wait but I know Adam is crazy busy so we'll see what happens.

You can buy a complete focus ST fuel pump assembly for like $80 brand new from ford with the pump and pick up and everything just ready to fall into a focus. Idk about the RS. Prob the same pump though.

I do not plan on anything over 350whp. I hope that the stock LPFP can handle Full E85 with port injection. Just wondering how the tuning is handled - it seems completely stand alone from the stock PCM - which I am not sure how i feel about.
