I was starting to forget what white platinum looked like. I am embarrassed with how long my car was a shade of beige.

Lots of rock chips from the miles put on this thing, but overall she cleans up quite nice. Spent a full 8 hours on the exterior today..

Yup - lol. This is the first time in ~8 months. Need to be better about maintenance washes.

Teaser for my latest project..

Fixed Monoblock calipers that should fit under 15’s with a 35mm offset.

16x8 et40 dekagrams pictured. No spacer required most likely.

Those look a lot like the brembo kit off a Renault Megane RS that I’m swapping onto mine.

Very similar, although these use OEM front 278mm rotors to keep the footprint small to fit under 15” wheels. Front brake torque with these calipers is within 1% of stock. So the advantage will be in brake feel, pad options, and cooling.

@MattM
Edit: Those Megane calipers with 300mm rotors increase brake torque 18%. So your overall bias will still shift forward even with the upgraded SVT rear brakes. Not ideal in my opinion hence why I went with something that keeps the front brake torque within 1% of the factory design.

Noted. Yeah mine use focus SVT front rotors. Currently getting the calipers powder coated and I’ll be doing an install thread.

Method 15x7 ET48 (requires 20mm spacer to clear caliper front face, barrel clears without issue)

Sparco terra 15x7 et40 (no spacer required, barrel clearance ~1mm): May need to investigate this clearance further since minimum clearance should be 2.54mm.

M-Sport fan

With the barrel thickness of the rally-inspired wheels, you cannot increase rotor size from the OEM specified 278mm, in my opinion. Clearances are just way too tight.

Looks like ARP stud conversion time. [wink]

Yeah, I figured that much, since the M-Sport R2 teams (and the U.S, based ones as well) only use about that size Alcon, or AP rotors for their gravel setups, even with the OZed wheels which supposedly give the best clearances of any of the gravel spec 15" wheels.

You think I’d be able to get by with the 300mm SVT rotors I mentioned with some dekagrams? Would prefer not to run spacers and someone locally wants to buy my rota titans.

From what I have seen, 17" wheels are the smallest diameter possible with the Megane 225 Calipers and 300mm SVT front rotors. Take a look at the clearances with 17's in these install videos:

Even my kit, with 278mm rotors and the monoblock calipers, require a 3mm spacer with the dekagrams to clear the front face of the caliper. So your kit definitely won't work with the dekagrams.
