I usually use a heavier lube like a white lithium grease in this application. This one caught my eye because of the straw to help get it into the right place-

I am going to double-check that there are no plastic parts, especially in the door hinge, which would require silicone lube instead.

Just wanted to see what others were using.

Lithium grease. It works wonders
That's what I was thinking. I took a glance at the door hinge today but it was pretty dark in there and I couldn't see that well, are there any plastic parts in there that could be damaged by lithium grease?

Used a white lithium spray. If I remember will take a pic after work. Put it on my focus door hinges and latches. It has stayed for over a year and the doors are so slick they close on me constantly. I sometimes wonder if I should have left them alone.
